Dwyane Wade and the Heat have a ‘significant gap‘ in contract negotiations as of right now. While it’s unlikely that the Heat shooting guard will bolt the Heat after so many years, nothing is impossible in the crazy world of sports. Let’s take a look at five teams that Dwyane Wade could be on next season other than the Miami Heat.

#1 Cleveland Cavaliers

Would Dwyane Wade seriously leave the Heat just like LeBron James did? I doubt it. The only reason I believe Wade would consider Cleveland is due to LeBron being there. This seems like the least likely option, but it wouldn’t be a bad one if he wanted to win more rings and win them along side LeBron James in Cleveland.

 #2 Chicago Bulls

Dwyane Wade is one of the many great players that have ever came out of the city Chicago. If he wants to go back to the place where it all started, Chicago will be it. If Wade does join the Bulls it would set up a bigger fire in the Cleveland Cavaliers-Chicago Bulls rivalry that the Cavaliers currently own in large part due to having LeBron James on the team. Even when LeBron was on the Heat the Bulls still couldn’t beat him when it mattered most. Wade could maybe change that.

 #3 Los Angeles Clippers

There were reports that Dwyane Wade would consider joining the Clippers if the Heat and him do not agree to a deal. Chris Paul is a very good friend of Dwyane Wade, and it could be the piece that Paul needs to finally reach the Conference Finals and perhaps the NBA Finals for the first time in his career.

#4 Oklahoma City Thunder

Shooting guard has been a big question mark for the Thunder since they traded away Kevin Martin and James Harden. Wade could easily change that, but with all the other teams the big issue is the same, cap space. Dwyane Wade has taken less to help bring talent and championships to Miami, but what we don’t know if he would be as flexible in another city and not try to make the most money possible in the twilight of his career.

#5 Los Angeles Lakers

Dwyane Wade would likely have to take a less role behind Kobe Bryant if he would go to Los Angeles. He would likely be the Lakers 6th man unless they want to play Wade at point guard, where Wade first started in the NBA and was a point guard while he was at Marquette. Wade likely won’t waste his time going to Los Angeles if he can’t win, however. so the Lakers may have to look to add more talent before trying to snag Wade.
