Georgia RB Nick Chubb (Ankle) Misses 2nd Straight Practice

Georgia Bulldogs running back Nick Chubb did not fully practice again for the Bulldogs on Tuesday after suffering a sprained ankle last Saturday versus Ole Miss.

Chubb has reportedly has shown “some improvement” according to head coach Kirby Smart, but still remains questionable for Georgia’s showdown versus #11 Tennessee on the first day of October. He has been rehabbing during the early portion of practice.

“Right now he’s in a boot, trying to keep the pressure off it,” Smart said to reporters. “He’s able to do some light running stuff.”

If Chubb is unable to go on Sunday, Sony Michel would find himself in a much bigger role in the Bulldogs’ offense. It’s also possible that Georgia would also give carries to Elijah Holyfield and others.

The junior running back Chubb has rushed for 422 yards on 83 attempts so far this season for a total of three touchdowns.
