If it were up to Goran Dragic, he would be staying in Miami long term. The Heat traded for Dragic a couple of weeks ago just a few minutes before the NBA’s trading deadline passed. Ever since Dragic has been in Miami, he’s loved it. He even hopes that he can stay in South Beach for the far see able future.
“That’s my wish,” he said after this morning’s shootaround . “Right now I’m focused on doing as much as possible this season and make the playoffs, but of course this first 10-15 days here has been a great feeling for me. Unbelievable.”
“One of my main wishes was to come to Miami, and so far it’s looking good,” Dragic said. “I’m happy right now. There’s still 22 games, but at this point, that’s what it is.”
Dragic still has a player option remaining on his contract after this season, which is worth 7.5 million dollars, but Dragic say’s he is opting out of the option no matter what. If the Heat give Dragic an offer to is liking, Dragic will sign and have no need to explore other options.
