The Atlanta Hawks and point guard Dennis Schroder have agreed to terms on a four-year, $70 million contract extension that will keep Schroder in Atlanta until 2021.
Schroder’s contract features $62 million guaranteed, with an average salary of $15.5 million, according to various league sources.

With Schroder being extended, he becomes the 3rd player from the 2013 NBA Draft class to receive an extension before the NBA’s Halloween deadline for contract extensions. Portland’s C.J. McCollum and Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo are the others to land a new deal so far.
The-23-year-old Schroder averaged 11 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game in 80 regular season games for Atlanta last season. He averaged 11.7 points, 3.6 assists, and 1.9 rebounds per game in the playoffs.
