Hawks’ Paul Millsap (Hip) Probable to Play vs. Heat

Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap is probable to play tonight against the Miami Heat despite dealing with pain in his hip.

Millsap returned from a three-game absence on Monday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, racking up 24 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and three steals in 39 minutes of action, even while still experiencing pain in his hip.

Despite the pain, Millsap was able to fully go through Hawks practice on Tuesday, and he says it is just something he will have to deal with going forward until it gets better:

“It’s sore,” Millsap said of his hip injury after practice Tuesday. “It’s something that probably will have to be dealt with. By that I mean just playing through and see what happens. Hopefully, getting better.”

The 31-year-old Millsap is averaging 16.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game this season.
