Heat Blowout Knicks 111-87 in Dwyane Wade’s Return

8 Miami Heat players scored in double figures tonight in Dwyane Wade’s return to the lineup. It was Wade’s first game back from a hamstring injury he suffered on January 27th versus the Milwaukee Bucks. Wade went 4-10 from the field, scoring 12 points with 4 rebounds.

Shabazz Napier enjoyed one of the best games of his NBA career, as he scored 18 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists along with 1 steal. Mario Chalmers also added in 13 points with 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals.

The rookie Tyler Johnson, who was recently signed for the rest of the season by the Heat, contributed 14 points and 4 rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

Most Heat players like Dwyane Wade and Hassan Whiteside did not play in the final quarter. Langston Galloway lead the way for the Knicks with 19 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Tim Hardaway Jr. also added in 17 points and 4 assists off the bench.

The Heat (23-30) return to the American Airlines Arena tomorrow night versus the New Orleans Pelicans in Goran and Zoran Dragic’s expected debut with the Heat. Former Heat players Norris Cole, Shawne Williams, and Justin Hamilton are also expected to return for the first time since being traded by the Heat tomorrow. The Knicks (10-44) will stay at Madison Square Garden on Sunday when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 3rd time this season.
