Heat Sign Michael Beasley

According to the Miami Heat’s official website, Michael Beasley will be signed by the Heat to a ten-day contract. Beasley, who was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies before the season started, played most of the NBA season, where he flourished, in China. Beasley was the Heat’s 2nd overall pick by the Heat in 2008.

While in China, Beasley averaged 27.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game on 51% shooting from the field. Beasley will join the Heat’s forward role as he helps try to fill the void of Chris Bosh who is missing the rest of the season, due to blood clots.

This will be Beasley’s 3rd stint with the Heat. He was also apart of the 2013-2014 team last season that was able to make the NBA Finals.
