Back in 2013, Nerlens Noel was talked about being the first overall pick in the 2013 draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs went with Bennett and Noel slipped 5 more draft spots. Noel was then taken by the Pelicans at 6th overall and then the Pelicans sent him to the 76ers in a draft day trade for Jrue Holiday that took the underrated path to the draft day trade between the Celtics and Nets.
Noel averaged 10.5 points per game with 9.5 rebounds per game, and 4.4 blocks per game. Could you imagine if the Pelicans didn’t trade Noel? Him and Anthony Davis who went to the same college would be blocking shots like crazy.
When your talked about being a number one pick, do you think it is disappointing to not b taken number one? Of course it is.
After watching these videos, I think Nerlens Noel could contend for a defensive player of the year award. With a 7’4 wingspan a 9’2 and a 7 foot 219 pound body, a player like Noel could dominate the low post and swat anything in his path.
Noel didn’t play in 2013, due to the fact the 76ers wanted to rest him coming off a torn ACL. Should be in the top 5 voting for rookie of the year.

He is definitely a player with great potential. There are a lot of good rookies this 2014-15 season. Wiggins (although I felt he was really overrated), Shabbaz Napier, Ennis James, Plumlee. Very talented group of guys. Who do you think will get rookie of the year?
I think that Jabari Parker will win rookie of the year
