Jabari Parker‘s rookie season last year came to a devastating end last year when he tore his ACL, but that ACL injury helped get teammate Khris Middleton payed and gave Jason Kidd a chance to prove himself as a coach.

Parker has came back in 2015-2016 putting up basically identical numbers that we saw in his rookie season. He is averaging 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game this season, but he hasn’t improved a whole lot, leading to some people questioning if he’ll be a bust or not.

If Parker’s recent play is any indication, it looks like he won’t be a bust.

The 20-year-old Parker, who will turn 21 in March had a career night last night in the Bucks’ double overtime win over the Hawks, scoring 28 points while grabbing 13 rebounds. Parker also put up these numbers in a career high 51 minutes.

This was the second 20/10 game of Parker’s career. The other one happened on Friday night in the Bucks 98-95 loss to the Hornets in which he scored 23 points to go with 11 rebounds in 42 minutes.

Over his last five games, Parker is averaging 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists on 49% shooting from the field.

Don’t look now, but Jabari Parker is starting to get things going. Be on the lookout to see what he does the remainder of the year along with Michael Carter-Williams as the Bucks are likely out of the playoff picture.
