Jamal Crawford Targeting Return to Court Next Week

Jamal Crawford has been out for almost one month with a calf injury that he suffered in the Clippers game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. No timetable was given as to when Crawford would return from injury, but Clippers head coach Doc Rivers provided some news on his 6th man earlier today. Rivers is also confident that Crawford will return before the NBA Playoffs start on April 18th, as he said he hopes Crawford is able to play in “a couple of games”.

Crawford spoke on the injury six days ago back on March 26th and if he was concerned on the injury or not in an interview with Ben Bolch of the LA Times.

No, I’m not worried. I believe I’ll be fine. “It’s hard not playing,” said Crawford. “But I just look at it as each day is a little closer to coming back. The team is playing well and I see my family a little more, so I’m trying to look at the positives.”
The Clippers have been missing Crawford’s presence on the court without a doubt, as their bench has struggled without Crawford’s 16.4 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 rebounds coming off the bench every night for them.
