Jimmy Butler Leaning Towards Taking Bulls Contract Offer

The Chicago Bulls can match any offer shooting guard Jimmy Butler gets this off-season, but it doesn’t look like that will end up being a problem with having to match the contract as Butler is ‘strongly considering’ signing the Bulls’ five-year maximum contract with a player option attached to it according to Shams Charania of Real GM.

Charania also confirms that year five of the maximum contract is the option Butler will have a choice to decline or accept.

Butler enjoyed a breakout season for the Bulls becoming their most lethal option on the offensive and defensive side of the ball averaging 20 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while finishing 10th in defensive player of the year voting.
