Jimmy Rollins Traded to the Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers have found their replacement at shortstop for Hanley Ramierz who left for the Red Sox this off-season. According to ESPN’s Buster Onley, the Dodgers and Philles have agreed to a trade that would send shortstop Jimmy Rollins to the Dodgers. It is un-clear as to what the Phillies recieved in return for Rollins, but were pretty sure they acquired a few prospects in this deal.

Rollins, who is 36 years of age had spent his entire 15 year career with the Philadelphia Philles and is the all-time franchise leader in hits, at-bats, and doubles, and hit for a .243 average with 17 home runs and 55 runs batted in for the Philles last season.

Jimmy Rollins is set to make 11 million this season in the final year of his contract. After this year with the Dodgers, it could be it for the veteran shortstop.
