After a disappointing 5-11 season, the Bears have found their replacement for Marc Trestman to lead the Bears this year. The Bears have reportedly hired John Fox to become the next head coach for the Chicago Bears. Fox, who was the Broncos coach during the last NFL season, parted ways with Denver after their divisional round lost versus the Colts.
John Fox had previously been a head coach with the Panthers and Broncos prior to the Bears hiring him. Of course Fox has been to the Super Bowl one time with the Broncos. According to multiple media sources, Fox is expected to bring in Dennis Allen as his defensive coordinator.
Allen previously held a head coaching job with the Raiders. New Bears GM Ryan Pace on the John Fox hiring
“We were surprised he became available and happy he became available,” Pace said.
John Fox’s deal is going to be a 4-year deal according to NFL Network’s Jay Glazer.
It looks like the Bears have picked the right man. He has a pretty impressive track record with both the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos.
John Fox will be introduced as the new Bears head coach Monday at 11 am central standard time.
“This has been a fast turnaround, no doubt. In this profession a lot of things happen,” Fox said.
