The short handed Miami Heat are able to steal a game from the Sacramento Kings, as they win 114-109. It took overtime for the Heat to pull out this win, but with out Luol Deng, Chris Bosh, and Hassan Whiteside, I am sure they will take it.
Tyler Johnson, the rookie out of Fresno State, had another big night for Miami, as he racked up 24 points with 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Dwyane Wade scored 10 points in the overtime period, as he took over late in the game again, finishing with 28 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Chris Andersen, Mario Chalmers, Henry Walker, and Michael Beasley all scored in double figures in the win as well.
DeMarcus Cousins had another big night for the Kings, as he put a double double with 27 points and 17 rebounds. The Kings bench wasn’t that big of a factor today, as the bench only combined 22 total points. Rudy Gay added in 27 points with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Ben McLemore also had a 20 point game and added in 4 rebounds and 2 steals in the loss.
The Heat, (28-34), will stay in South Beach to take on the Boston Celtics on Monday, as the race for the 8th seed in the East starts to heat up. The Kings, (21-40), will continue their road trip on Monday as they take on the Atlanta Hawks.
