Things were chippy all night in the Phoenix Suns – Miami Heat game, but the Heat were able to come out of the game victorious as they knock off the Suns. 3 ejections happened in the game, as Hassan Whiteside was ejected for the Heat, and Alex Len and Markieff Morris for the Suns.

For the Heat, they were powered by the rookie out of Fresno State, Tyler Johnson, as he scored a career high 23 points with 3 steals. Johnson appeared to suffer an ankle injury earlier in the game, but he didn’t let that bother him. Despite foul trouble, the back court duo of Goran Dragic and Dwyane Wade was effective again, as Dragic scored 21 points, 10 of which came in the 4th quarter. Dwyane Wade added 16 points and also dished out 9 assists.

Tyler Johnson’s bench performance wasn’t the only nice bench performance by a Heat player tonight, as Michael Beasley scored 12 points and 16 rebounds. Before Hassan Whiteside was ejected, he already recorded a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds as well. Luol Deng also contributed 12 points with 4 rebounds.

For the Suns, P.J. Tucker recorded a double-double with 20 points an 14 rebounds. Eric Bledsoe also had a 20 point game, and added 4 assists. Alex Len had a double-double prior to being ejected, with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Markieff Morris had 13 points and 5 rebounds also prior to being ejected.

Brandon Knight struggled shooting wise tonight, but still scored 13 points with 7 assists in 40 minutes tonight in the losing effort.

The Heat, (26-33), will remain in Miami to take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday on ESPN. The Suns, (31-30), will remain in Florida as they take on the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.
