The Minnesota Timberwolves elected to use the first overall pick on Kentucky power forward Karl-Anthony Towns during the NBA draft last night. Towns was one of 6 Kentucky players to be drafted, and the third Wildcat to go number one in the last five years. Towns knows the Timberwolves aren’t far from being a great team as well.
It’s certainly possible. With a young core that features Ricky Rubio, Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins and now Karl-Anthony Towns and Tyus Jones, the future is bright in Minneapolis.
