For the second straight year, Keifer Sykes is taking home of the Horizon League’s Player of the year award. The League today made it official that Sykes will indeed win the award again, and Sykes is the first player since Tony Bennett in 2000-2001 to win the award in back-to-back years.
Sykes enjoyed another great year as he averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, leading the Green Bay Phoenix to a 23-7 record on the season, and a possible NCAA tournament birth, depending on how the Horizon League Tournament goes.
