The Cavaliers chances to win the NBA Finals have just taken a big hit. According to Cavaliers general manager David Griffin, the team expects star power forward Kevin Love to miss the rest of the playoffs. Love suffered a shoulder injury in the Cavaliers game 4 win over the Celtics, which won them the series.
Love, who was already ruled out for the conference semifinals versus the Bulls or Bucks, has a torn labrum in the shoulder he injured. The recovery time is expected to be 4-6 weeks. Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith is also out for the Cavaliers first two games of the conference semifinals due to suspension.
Love finished the regular season averaging 16.4 points with 9.7 rebounds per game in 75 games in his first year with the Cavaliers. Love averaged 14.3 points and 7 rebounds per game in the Cavaliers first round series versus the Celtics.
