After losing last year’s three-point contest to Stephen Curry, Warriors guard Klay Thompson recently said he wants to give his teammate a little payback for that, and he did just that.

Thompson beat out Curry in the final round after Curry beat out Suns rookie Devin Booker. Thompson edge Curry by four points, scoring 27. Curry also scored 27 last year to win the contest, the most ever points score by a player in a single round.

“We love to shoot against each other,” Thompson said. “You know, I’ve never been on a team with someone who shoots it better than me, so it’s a privilege to work with him every day. He makes me that much better.”

Curry of course finished second to his teammate Thompson and Booker finished third. James Harden, J.J. Redick, Kyle Lowry, C.J. McCollum, and Khris Middleton rounded out the remainder of the contest.

Thompson missed just six shots in the final round, going 19-25 in the final round to go with 18-15 in the first round. That would put him at 74% shooting from three on Saturday night. He also had two streaks of eight consecutive makes in the contest.

“Back-to-back years for the ‘Splash Brothers,’” Thompson said. “It’s pretty cool.”

Hopefully, both Klay and Stephen decide to do this again in 2017. It never gets old seeing those guys go up against each other for a change.
