Kobe Bryant Has no Intentions to Retire Next Season

Despite reports that Kobe Bryant would retire after the 2015-2016 season, Kobe Bryant says he isn’t retiring after the 2015-2016 season. Bryant has missed big parts of the last three seasons, which has lead to people question if he will retire soon. Kobe Bryant however, says that if he were to retire, it wouldn’t be on a retirement tour.

“No, it’s not true. It’s not true,” Bryant said. “It wouldn’t be true to who I’ve been my entire career to do a farewell tour.”

Bryant also compared his return to the basketball court, similar to when he thought the San Antonio Spurs were done, just like people think Kobe Bryant is done.

“I can’t say this is the end of my era because I thought the San Antonio Spurs era was done, and they’re still there,” Bryant said. “So I’m hoping I can have the same rebirth.”

Hopefully for the NBA’s sake, Kobe Bryant does have the rebirth he’s talking about.
