Despite the recruitment coming everywhere from Lakers fans worldwide, free agent power forward LaMarcus Aldridge will not sign with the Lakers according to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times. The Lakers were a 50-50 choice for Aldridge, but he didn’t like the basketball part of the presentation also according to Bresnahan.

Aldridge was very impressed with the Rockets presentation on the basketball side of things that included on the court projections and analytics. Not so much for the Lakers.

And perhaps another thing that sent Aldridge away from the Lakers was perhaps the fact that he didn’t gel with Kobe Bryant, as Aldridge didn’t get the answers from Bryant that he wanted.

With the Lakers out of the running, the Spurs, Rockets, Mavericks, Suns, Raptors, and Knicks ares till in the bidding for Aldridge who averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds in 71 regular season games for the Blazers during the 2014-2015 season.
