Ben Simmons, the top rated recruit in the 2015 college basketball recruiting class, chose LSU over Kansas when he officially signed with them last November. Simmons’ game features the rare combination of size, speed and ball-handling along with being a point-forward that has made him the top recruit in 2015. He is setting his eyes on the number one pick in a future NBA draft as well. Here is a highlight reel of his game, and the quote about his game.
“I definitely want to be the No 1 pick – I’m always going to back myself over someone else,” he also acknowledges that “there is lots of work to do and much more pressure to come.”
Simmons scored 7 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists in 19 minutes in the annual McDonald’s All-American Game in April. He averaged 28.0 points, 4.0 assists, 11.9 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.5 blocks per game in high school, winning him the 2015 Naismith High School Player Of The Year award.
