Mark Cuban says the Mavericks Will Honor Tim Duncan if it’s his Last NBA Season

Tim Duncan has yet to announce his plans after the 2014-2015 season, but it looks like the end is near. Timmy is in the final year of a 3 year deal with the Spurs and likely after the deal ends it would be surprising if he gets a new multiple year deal with the Spurs. ESPN Dallas is reporting that the Mavericks would honor Duncan in the last Spurs-Mavericks game with TD not retired:

“If we get word that it’s his last year here, we’ll do something special,” Cuban said.“We did the same thing for David Robinson. I’m hoping Tim will bless us with those words.”

The Mavericks have honored former players in the past (Steve Nash and Jason Terry) so we know they would love to honor one of the best to ever step onto the hardwood.
