It has not been a very good season for the Miami Marlins so far. Giancarlo Stanton has been the only good part, but even with his success the team hasn’t been able to turn Stanton’s success into wins. The team is currently 16-22 on the year, with is good for 4th in the National League East. That 16-22 record has lead to the firing of manager Mike Redmond and bench coach Rob Leary according to multiple sources.

While under Redmond, the Marlins had a record of 155-207 over a span of three years. Redmond was fired moments after the Marlins 6-0 to the Atlanta Braves where the team was nearly no-hit by Braves starting pitcher Shelby Miller. The Marlins will announce their new manager and bench coach at a press conference tomorrow morning.
