Giancarlo Stanton was once on pace for 60 home runs this season, and it would’ve given him the first 60 plus home runs season since Barry Bonds launched 73 of them in 2001. It’s been a shame that he has missed the last two months of the season, but he is hoping to return for the final full month of baseball this year.

Stanton’s 27 home runs are still good enough for 5th best in the National League, and 13th in all of baseball. In addition to the 27 home runs, Stanton is batting .267 with 67 runs batted in.
