The Mami Marlins have acquired another starting pitcher and this one appears to be a big name pitcher. According to multiple media outlets, the Miami Marlins and Cincinnati Reds have agreed to a trade that would send starting pitcher Mat Latos to the Marlins in-exchange for prospects.
Latos missed most of the 2014 season due to injruies but still posted a 5-5 record with a 3.25 earned run average with 74 strikeouts in 102.1 innings of work. Latos I’d expected to be the number 2 starter in the Marlins rotation behind Jose Fernandez giving the Marlins a deadly one two punch.
