NBA All Day Everyday will Never Forget: September 11th, 2001

On September 11th, 2001, the US was under attack by Islamic Terrorist Al-Qaeda planned 4 separate coordinated attacks in New York and Washington D.C. The attacks killed almost 3,000 people and caused 10 billion dollars in overall damage.4 planes were hijacked by 19 Al-Qaeda terrorists so they could be flown into buildings which would eventually end up collapsing. American Flight 11 and United Airlines 175 were crashed into the North and South towers of the World Trade Center (Twin Towers) in New York City. Within two hours, both the Towers had fully collapsed. The collapsing also caused damage to 10 other buildings surrounding the Towers.

The third plane, American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. (The headquarters to the Untied States Department of Defense) which lead to a collapse in the west side of the Pentagon. The 4th and final plane, Untied Airlines flight 93, was targeted for the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. but many believe that the people on the plane took over the plane from the hijacker and ended up seizing control which ended up crashing in Pennsylvania . Others tend to believe the US shot the plane down but you can believe what you want.

The man behind the attacks was Osama Bin Laden. Bin Laden admitted it was him behind the 9/11 attacks in 2004 and there have been several attacks to try to kill him until on May 2, 2011 the USA finally had mission accomplished as the US shot Osama in Pakistan.

On Behalf of myself and everyone who works at NBA All Day Everyday, we would just like to show our respect for everyone who died as a result of the attacks and we are grateful to everyone who took a stand on that day in September, and helped saved many more lives. We ask that you please think tomorrow about your life and the people who have given up their own. One person giving up their life, could be the reason you’re alive today.
