The 9th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft will be on the shelf for 6-8 weeks after suffering a sports hernia injury in a recent workout. The rookie will be a huge part to the Hornets future and its not off to the strat the Hornets or Vonleh wanted. Marc J. Spears confirmed the injury:
Hornets say rookie forward Noah Vonleh had surgery today to repair sports hernia suffered in recent workout & is expected to miss 6-8 weeks.

Vonleh who enjoyed a great career at Indiana University and was arguably the best power forward in the draft. Vonleh will most likely miss half of November or won’t return to the late or early December. The Hornets will have to hope Cody Zeller can step up and preform while Vonleh is on the shelf.
