Brad Jones, who was a 7th round pick by the Packers back in the 2009 draft, has been cut by the team. The Packers will save the Packers over 3.5 million on their cap room this off-season, which could be critical to them as it could be used to retain key free agents like Randall Cobb and Bryan Bulaga.
Packers general manger Ted Thompson released the following statement on Jones being cut from the team.
“We thank Brad for his contributions and dedication to the Packers over the past six years,” Thompson said. “We wish him all the best.”
Jones will most likely be added to a team that needs outside linebacker depth.
