Paul George Will Return Sunday vs. Heat

After Indiana Pacers star forward Paul George broke his leg in a Team USA scrimmage game, the only thing NBA fans wanted to see was Paul George back on the court. Those fans will now have their wish, as Paul George will return on Sunday versus the Miami Heat. George is returning after months of speculation, which included the following tweet about him returning in March.

George even confirmed the announced return date, via his official Twitter page earlier today.

George is returning versus the Miami Heat, who eliminated the Pacers from the NBA Playoffs the past three season. The last game George played in the NBA was game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Heat, so you know he will be fired up to try to squash the Heat’s playoff hopes even more.

“I’m excited, George said, but at the same time I’m aware I’m still in a rehab stage and will continue to work to get back to full strength.”

George averaged 21.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 6.8 rebounds per game in 80 games with the Pacers last season. George was voted the NBA’s Most Improved Player for the 2012-2013 season.
