The New Orleans Pelicans spoiled Goran Dragic’s Miami Heat debut today, by crushing the Miami Heat. The Pelicans had Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson both go down with injuries in the 1st quarter of the game, and they both didn’t return. Eric Gordon was the Heat killer tonight, as he dropped in 24 points with 4 rebounds and 6 assists.

Norris Cole also added in 12 points in his Pelican debut, which was also his first game back with the Heat since the Heat traded him just two days ago.

Luke Babbitt, Omer Asik, and Tyreke Evans also chipped in well as Babbitt had 9 points, and 4 rebounds. Asik added 15 points and 9 rebounds, and Tyreke Evans dropped 13 as well.

For the Heat, Mario Chalmers lead the way with 20 points and 2 assists. Dwyane Wade added in 19 points with 4 assists. Hassan Whiteside also added his 10th double-double of the season with 11 points, 16 rebounds, and added in 5 blocks.

Goran Dragic scored 12 points in his Heat debut going 4-11 from the field. Most of Dragic’s points came in the 3rd quarter when he had Miami on a 9-0 run by himself.

The Heat (23-31) will stay in Miami and host the 76ers on Monday. The Pelicans (28-27) will return to New Orleans on Monday as they take on the Toronto Raptors.
