Phillies Ace Cole Hamels Tosses No-Hitter vs. Cubs

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels likely made his last start for the Philles today versus the Chicago Cubs. Trade rumors have been swirling about the Phillies ace for the longest time, and if it is indeed the end of the line for him in Philadelphia, he went out in style, tossing a no-hitter.

If you missed the catch the Zolecki is refereeing to, it was a pretty insane one, as most no-hitters feature to keep them alive. The catch was made by Phillies center fielder Odubel Herrera.

Hamels struck out 13 Cubs batters over the course of no hitters surrendering two walks and throwing 129 pitches to complete the no-no. Hamels’ no-hitter joins a combined no-hitter that he was apart of last September.
