The Brooklyn Nets came into the 2013-2014 season as title favorites and ended up going 44-38 making the playoffs and losing to Miami in the 2nd round after beating the Raptors in 7 games. The Nets have lost Paul Pierce in free agency as the Wizards picked up Pierce. The Nets also lost Shaun Livingston to the Warriors and traded away Marcus Thornton. The Nets added Jarrett Jack and acquired two draft picks to draft Markel Brown and Cory Jefferson. While the Nets failed to meet expectations of a championship season under first year Head Coach Jason Kidd, they now have Lionel Hollins after they traded Jason Kidd for 2 draft picks. Lionel Hollins has always found away to get the best results out of players and that’s what he will do with the Nets. The Nets have basically added younger pieces after the draft day trade for Paul and Kevin Garnett went down. With a coach like Lionel Hollins I think despite losing Paul , The Nets will be better under Hollins then Kidd.
Projected finish for me: 46-34
6th seed in the Eastern Conference
