It was revealed during January that Portland Trail Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge had a torn ligament in his left thumb. The injury was expected to keep Aldridge sidelined for 6-8 weeks and potentiality hurt the Blazers playoff chances, but Aldridge decided to play through the injury. Aldridge finished the season averaging 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 1 block per game. Even with thumb injury still lingering post all-star break, Aldridge still averaged double figures in points and rebounds, averaging 23 points, 10 rebounds, and .6 blocks.
