The Toronto Raptors re-signed point guard Kyle Lowry to a 4 year 48 million dollar contract this off-season. Shortly after the extension was completed, there were trade rumors suggesting that the Heat and other teams were close to a trade with the Raptors for Lowry. If the Heat received Lowry they could have had a lineup of Lowry, Wade, LeBron, Bosh, Birdman which would be a dynamic lineup but of course that didn’t happen and the best player of the team in LeBron James left. Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri has confirmed Lowry won’t be going anywhere time soon:
The Raptors can’t trade Lowry to the 15th of January anyway, but it’s always good news as a player to hear you won’t be traded.
