Yesterday, Johnny Cueto was originally set to be traded to the Kansas City Royals prior to Cueto’s start with the Reds versus the Colorado Rockies. It almost happened, but one of the players that the Royals were going to send to the Reds didn’t check out to medically.
Sources indicate that the problem was that one of the players going from the #Royals to the #Reds for Cueto did not check out medically.

Many still expect the deal to happen, as it became official today that the Reds would trade Cueto to the Royals in exchange for left-handers Brandon Finnegan, John Lamb and Cody Reed.

Cueto is 7-6 on the season with a 2.62 earn run average with 8.2 strikeout average over 9 innings, which is also good for 120 strikeouts over 130.2 innings of work.
