A shakeup in San Francisco is set to occur.

The San Francisco 49ers are expected to fire head coach Chip Kelly and general manager Trent Baalke, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Schefter reports that the 49ers meetings with Kelly and Baalke will occur as early as after the 49ers’ game versus the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. At the last, the meetings will happen on Monday.

Kelly, who was hired as the 49ers coach last off-season, has three years left on his contract, while Baalke has two. The 49ers, will become the first since 1976-1977 to fire coaches in back-to-back years. San Francisco fired Jim Tomsula last year after he was named the replacement to Jim Harbaugh, who went to coach at Michigan.

Coincidentally, the 49ers were the team in 1976-1977 that fired coaches in back-to-back years. Monte Clark was let go in 1976, and Ken Meyer was dismissed in 1977.

49ers CEO Jed York and Executive Vice President Paraag Marathe will lead the search to replace Kelly and Baalke, after a dismal season.

The 49ers are 2-13 on the season, and are expected to lose to Seattle tomorrow to bring that record to 2-14, which would give the team the 2nd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft after the Cleveland Browns draft number one overall.
