Report: Browns Sent Home Drunk Johnny Manziel During Week 17, Not Concussed

Johnny Manziel has put himself into a mess in Cleveland, and now the Browns reportedly might’ve put themselves into a mess with the NFL.

We were told during Week 17 that Manziel was concussed and would not play in the Browns final game of the season, but now according to Mike Silver of NFL Network, Manziel actually showed up to practice drunk, and not concussed:

“Johnny Manziel, going into what would have been a start late in the season, showed up drunk at practice on a Wednesday. The Browns lied and said he was in the concussion protocol. Let me repeat that: The Browns lied, to try to protect, and I would argue enable, this irresponsible and very troubled young man,” said Mike Silver.

The thing that makes this even more concerning for the Browns is that this coming from the NFL’s own network. There was always something odd about Manziel being concussed as well.

The Browns will reportedly cut Manziel next month, but for now they have bigger concerns as it sounds like the Browns could be in trouble with the NFL.
