Jason Kidd has been out a month now after he underwent surgery on his hip, and Bucks interim coach Joe Prunty has been doing well in Kidd’s absence, leading the Bucks to a 8-7 record.
When Kidd underwent surgery, we knew his timetable for return would be 4-6 weeks. Now, according to Marc Stein of ESPN, Kidd could return to the Bucks’ bench as early as next week when the Bucks return to Milwaukee:
ESPN sources say Bucks coach Jason Kidd, recovered from hip surgery, is returning to the bench next week after team returns from road trip

This is great news for the Bucks, who are on a three game winning streak, and are set to take on the Rockets in Houston tomorrow. Kidd’s earliest return date will be January 26th when the Magic and Bucks square off in Milwaukee.
After that game, the Bucks will go to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies on the 28th, then they will return home to take on the Heat. It’s likely that Kidd will be ready to go for that match-up if he won’t be able to coach the team on Tuesday.
