Michael Carter-Williams was acquired by the Bucks via trade last February, and Greg Monroe was signed to the max by the Bucks this summer.

Now, both of them have their futures up in the air, according to Bucks insider Gery Woelfel:

Based on conversations with several NBA execs from both the Eastern and Western conferences, the Bucks are more than receptive to playing “Let’s Make a Deal.’’

And that includes possibly moving Carter-Williams

A much bigger surprise is the Bucks have made known that center Greg Monroe is available at the right price, according to some NBA officials.

Carter-Williams has yet to shown the success he saw in his rookie season with the 76ers in Milwaukee, and Monroe is a very poor defender on the defensive end. The Bucks currently sit at 20-31 on the season, well short of what people expected.

To me, it would be a mistake for the Bucks to blow it up now and start over with a new floor general and big man. The Bucks benefited from a weak Eastern Conference. They shouldn’t have been a playoff team least year, and that has placed their expectations so high.

Jabari Parker has been solid so far in a year where the Bucks are still monitoring him. Giannis Antetokounmpo is getting better and better. The Bucks should be looking to unload guys like Jerryd Bayless, O.J. Mayo, and Miles Plumlee. Not their players that are still getting better and should be in the future plans.
