According to Arash Markazi of ESPN, the Los Angeles Clippers are preparing to offer big man DeAndre Jordan a maximum contract this Summer. The deal is reported to be worth around 108 million over five years which has also been reported Markazi. Jordan however right now isn’t thinking about if he wants to stay in Los Angeles Clippers or not in wake of the Clippers heartbreaking game seven loss versus the Houston Rockets last night.
“I’ve been here for seven years so this is what I’m used to,” Jordan said. “But I’m not thinking about that, man. It’s still so fresh [last night]. It’s tough.”
Clippers head coach Doc Rivers spoke on Jordan’s time in Los Angeles, and the relationship him and Jordan have formed over the years in Los Angeles.
“You can’t take anything for granted, but DJ loves being a Clipper,” Rivers told Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojanrowski. “DJ loves being here. We have an amazing relationship.”
Jordan averaged 11.5 points, 15 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game in all 82 regular season games this season. He also averaged 13.1 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game in the playoffs.
