Report: Royals to Re-Sign 3-Time All-Star Gordon

First we heard that the 2015 World Series champion Kansas City Royals had ‘no shot’ at re-signing Alex Gordon.

That was eventually thrown out the window, and we haven’t heard much since about Gordon’s future, until now:

The four-year $72 million deal has no opt-out clause, meaning that he will be signed as a Royal until 2020 when he turns 35.

The official announcement by the Royals on the signing could come as earlier as later today. In 2015, Gordon slashed .271/.377/.432 with 13 home runs and 48 runs batted in on the year in 104 games.
