In a duel between James Harden and LeBron James, Harden’s team is leaving victorious with a 104-102 win in overtime. James Harden showed why he is one of the players consider for MVP, as he dropped 33 points with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. LeBron James also made a strong case for MVP, as he poured in 37 points with 8 rebounds and 3 blocks, but struggled from the free throw line where he went 3-11, including missing two free throws that would have gave the Cavaliers the lead in overtime.

While Harden versus LeBron was the story of the game, Harden received significant contributions from other teammates such as Terrence Jones, who had 19 points with 7 rebounds. Donatas Motiejunas also had a significant impact with 16 points. Josh Smith added 10 points and 4 assists from the bench.

For Cleveland, Kevin Love added 21 points to LeBron’s 37, as Love also added 6 rebounds. Timofey Mozgov had 10 points and 4 rebounds. Tristan Thompson has a very underrated game from the bench, as he had a double-double with 14 points and 19 rebounds. James Jones hit home three three-pointers in the game as well.

The Rockets, (41-18), will travel to Atlanta to take on the East leading Hawks on Tuesday. The Cavaliers, (37-24), will return to Cleveland on Tuesday to take on the Celtics.
