The Houston Rockets have just upgraded their power forward position. According to multiple media outlets, the Houston Rockets and Josh Smith have verbally agreed to a contract, and the deal will become official at 5 pm Eastern time. Smith, who was released by the Pistons on Monday was averaging 13.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game with Detroit.
Josh Smith has committed to signing with the Houston Rockets, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. He clears waivers at 5 PM today.
