Roy Hibbert on Pacers: ‘I don’t want to see those guys do badly’

Los Angeles Lakers center Roy Hibbert had spent his entire seven-year career with the Indiana Pacers prior to the Pacers trading him to the Lakers. It seemed like a likely move, considering it was rumored most of the season, and the Pacers picked Myles Turner in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Despite all that went down, Hibbert is not rooting for the Pacers to be bad.

Per Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times:

Before Hibbert moved out of his Indiana home last week, he invited Paul George to come over one last time, hiring a barber to give the former Pacers teammates haircuts in the barber-shop chair in Hibbert’s man cave.

“I don’t harbor any resentment. I don’t want to see those guys do badly,” Hibbert said.

Hibbert will look to find his game again in Los Angeles, as he averaged 10.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game with the Pacers last year. That wasn’t good in terms of his past seasons.
