As if we needed more reasons to prove why Serena Williams is one of the best female tennis players ever, she added another grand slam to her 20 she already had with her Wimbledon win over Spaniard Garbine Muguruza for her 6th Wimbledon title. Serena won the first set 6-4 and won the second set 6-4 to defeat Muguruza to capture the Wimbledon title.

“I can’t believe I’m standing here with another Serena Slam,” Williams said to the media after the match.

“I honestly wouldn’t have thought last year after winning the U.S. Open I would win the Serena Slam at all,” Williams, said. “It’s super exciting.”

With today’s win, Williams improved to 46-7 in Grand Slam semifinals and finals. With a win at the U.S. Open, where Williams has won three times, Williams would be the first player since Steffi Graf in 1988 to complete the calendar-year grand slam. She even admitted she was thinking about it after the match.

“I did the whole presentation, I did the whole walk around the court,” said Serena Williams. “I was peaceful, feeling really good. Maybe a little after that I started thinking about New York.”

New York of course is where the U.S. Open is. That begins on August 31st and will finish up on September 13th, as Williams will continue her chase at history.
