Felipe Lopez has been out of Major League Baseball since 2011 when he was with the Milwaukee Brewers, and hasn’t played baseball professionally since 2012, but according to SB Nation’s Chris Cotillo, Lopez is seeking a MLB comeback:
It’s very unlikely that any team would give the 35-year-old infielder Lopez a Major League deal or a multi-year deal at all. Lopez would have to settle for a one-year Minor League deal that might even see him start at the Double-A level.
Lopez is a career .264/.333/.391 hitter with 90 career home runs and 439 runs batted in. He’s played 11 MLB seasons on multiple different teams. Lopez has been a Blue Jay, a Red, a National, a Cardinal, a Diamondback, a Red Sox, a Ray, and of course a Brewer.
