Without the services of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant tonight, the Oklahoma City Thunder were still able to get a win over the Los Angeles Lakers by the score of 108-101. Oklahoma City had a lot of guys step up, including D.J. Augustin, Jeremy Lamb, Nick Collision, and many others. D.J. Augustin started in place for Westbrook, and impressed with 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Jeremy Lamb added 14 points with 3 rebounds in just 16 minutes of action. Nick Collision also had a solid game off the bench with 12 points and 4 rebounds. Dion Waiters also added in 9 points from the bench in 28 minutes of work for the Thunder.
We can’t forget about the big games Oklahoma City’s bigs had, as Serge Ibaka and Enes Kanter both recorded a double double. Serge Ibaka had 18 points and 14 rebounds plus 3 blocks, and Kanter had 16 points with 15 rebounds.
For the Lakers, Jeremy Lin lead the way with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals. Jordan Clarkson, Jordan Hill, Wayne Ellington, Ryan Kelly, and Ed Davis all scored in double digits.
The Thunder, (33-27), will return to Oklahoma City to take on the lowly Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. The Lakers, (16-42), will travel to Charlotte to take on the Hornets Tuesday night.
