Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki met with his agent Paul Cohen on Thursday to discuss a possible trade demand from the Colorado Rockies. Tulowitzki is on record for saying he misses the feeling of winning baseball in Colorado and many thought that would lead to a trade. Turns out that won’t happen.

“Bottom line, [we need to] play better baseball,” Tulowitzki told Harding. “That’s kind of vague, but it starts with myself.”

“When you make the most money on the team and your team’s not playing well, you’re going to be that target,” Tulowitzki said. “I understand what my contract, what me being here longer than anyone in this locker room, what comes with that territory. That’s fair.”

“The Rockies’ ownership and myself have always been close, so there’s no reason to try to leak something,” Tulowitzki stated. “I’d go straight to them.”

Tulowitzki is batting .289 this season with 2 home runs and 11 runs batted in. He still has a 6-year deal with the Rockies worth 118 million left on his contract.
