VIDEO: 44-year-old Jaromir Jagr Moves to 3rd All-Time on NHL Goals List

You just can’t help but root for Florida Panthers right wing Jaromir Jagr.

Jagar moved into 3rd all-time on the NHL’s all-time goals list passing up Brett Hull with two goals tonight in the Panthers’ 3-1 win over the Jets. Those two goals helped give Jagr a twenty-goal season, something he has done a total of 18 times in 21 years.

With Jagr now being third all-time on the list, he only trails Goride Howe and Wayne Gretzky on the list.

“When I got a birthday cake for my 44th birthday [on Monday], I said I wish I’m going to be a goal scorer,” Jagr said. “So far it worked so maybe I’m going to catch Gordie (Howe) and maybe Wayne Gretzky, too, you know?”

The Panthers have been the NHL’s biggest surprise this season. They’re are the leaders of the Atlantic division with 75 points and a record of 34-18-7, and Jagr has been a big reason why.
